the filmmakers

Rachel Nanstad (director, producer, editor)  grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Her early memories include seeing the Reed Sisters on cable access TV.

 

She now lives in Oakland, CA and works as a professional editor, videographer and enjoys singing and playing guitar in a Country band.

 

Her first short documentary Saving Lou is a true story about a cat who got his head stuck in a jar and the people who saved him. 

 

 

Christopher Shirley (cohort) is a musician/composer/painter living and working in the Bay Area.  His musical influences range from Gene Simmons of KISS to Debbie Reed of The Reed Sisters.

 

Christopher's latest projects include a musical score for the SilverSmith Production of the 1960’s stylized

b-movie horror flick “Canvas of Blood".

Rachel and Christopher have been friends since they were 12 years old. Chris also grew up in Oak Ridge. They both watched the Reed Sisters, and they always wondered....
